19 साल पहले Indian Idol से बाहर हुई दीपाली सहाय को उस वक्त Mini Mathur ने कहा था-

आज वही बात सच हो चुकी है।
बिहार की रहने वाली दीपाली सहाय ने हार के बाद भी हार नहीं मानी। लाइव कॉन्सर्ट्स, भोजपुरी गाने, एक्टिंग और डायरेक्शन तक का सफर तय करने के बाद आज उन्हें A. R. Rahman के साथ “Main Vaapas Aaunga” फिल्म में गाने का मौका मिला।
उनका गाना “Tere Pass Main” आज लोगों के दिलों तक पहुंच रहा है।
