Here we have listed the four new SUVs waiting to launch from Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and Tata this festive season
As the festive season well and truly on, automakers are preparing to capitalise on the surge in demand that typically accompanies this time of year. Major players including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and Tata have lined up important launches to attract buyers. From refreshed bestsellers to brand new models, here is a list of 4 upcoming new SUVs arriving soon:
1. Maruti Suzuki Victoris:
The Victoris is the all-new midsize SUV which was recently unveiled by Maruti Suzuki. To be sold via Arena dealerships, the five-seater will be available with both mild-hybrid and strong hybrid petrol engine options and expect it to be priced between Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom). It takes design inspiration from e Vitara as well as Grand Vitara.
The Victoris is undoubtedly the most feature-packed Maruti Suzuki on offer. It gets a large touchscreen, a fully digital cluster, six airbags, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat and a lot more. It will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, etc.

2. New Hyundai Venue:

The third generation Hyundai Venue is inching closer to its market debut with test mules being sighted on Indian roads frequently in recent months. The popular compact SUV will receive a complete makeover – bringing new styling cues on the outside and a more upmarket interior. Alongside these updates, Hyundai is expected to load the Venue with a host of new features as it will be a significant step up over the outgoing model.
Hyundai is preparing the new Venue with a key focus on premium features and modern technologies. Standout additions like a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS are expected to be part of the package while the design language will take heavy inspiration from larger Hyundai SUVs. On the mechanical side, the Venue will stick with its proven engine lineup – the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre turbo diesel.

3. 3-Door Mahindra Thar Facelift:

The updated three-door Mahindra Thar has already been caught testing and will draw strong design inspiration from the well received Thar Roxx. As a mid-life refresh, the SUV will retain its ladder-frame construction but is expected to see a step up in equipment and technology – much of which could be borrowed from the larger five-door model. Despite the updates, the tried-and-tested engine options – the 1.5-litre diesel, 2.0-litre petrol, and 2.2-litre diesel – will continue without change.
4. Tata Punch Facelift:
Since its launch in 2021, the Tata Punch ICE has carried on without any major design revisions – unlike most of Tata’s volume SUVs that have received timely updates. That is about to change as Tata gears up to refresh the micro SUV with exterior tweaks inspired by the Punch EV. The cabin too is expected to gain new features and enhancements.
