After resisting for many years, I traded my love of driving for a career opportunity and after 18 memorable years in Hyderabad, moved to Bangalore a few months back. The driving miles of Lucifer has gone down faster than Prithvi Shaw’s career graph since then and I have been forced to start thinking about “practical” alternatives. But after a few months, it was finally able to stretch its legs on the Blr-Mysore expressway which is definitely no Samruddhi Expressway but at-least better than the crater laden road called Mahadevpura “Main Road”. It was a short day trip inspired by some of the recent drives shared on the forum. It comprised of food highs of Mysore mixed with the calm of the picturesque Sri Venugopalaswamy Temple. Sharing some pictures from the trip. Dosa at GTR set the tone for the day! Blending well in the lanes of Mysore! Enroute Chamundi Hills, took one of the side roads instead of the Main road and it made for some fun driving! Drive to Chamundi Hills! While the weather wasn’t exactly in our favor, the temple was definitely worth the drive. Planning to visit during sunset some other time.
