Renault India has released the prices of its range following the GST 2.0 restructuring as the prices have been reduced by up to Rs. 96,000 in the domestic market. The French manufacturer has been having the Kwid as its entry-level offering while the Kiger compact SUV and Triber compact MPV are also available on sale and all of their prices have been dropped.

The brand fully passed on the benefits to the customers. With reductions of up to Rs. 96,395, Renault’s range of cars are now significantly more accessible. The move comes right ahead of the festive season with revised prices applicable on all deliveries starting September 22, 2025, coinciding with Navratri. However, customers can book their cars immediately at the new rates across dealerships nationwide.

The price realignment sees the Kwid now starting at just Rs. 4.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the variant, the Kwid is cheaper by Rs. 40,095 to Rs. 55,095. For example, the RXT and RXL trims now cost Rs. 4.99 lakh and Rs. 4.66 lakh respectively while the top-spec Climber AMT DT is available at Rs. 5.90 lakh after a reduction of Rs. 54,995.

The revisions follow the central government’s announcement of GST 2.0 just a few days ago. One of the biggest winners from this reform is the hybrid vehicle segment. Compact models running on petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG and hybrid powertrains, which were earlier taxed at 28 per cent, now attract a significantly lower GST rate of 18 per cent. The benefit specifically applies to cars with engines below 1,500 cc and overall length not exceeding four metres.
