Embracing the future of electric mobility, the MG Windsor EV has become more than just a vehicle—it’s a trusted companion for adventurous journeys across India, Nepal, and beyond. Electric vehicle owner Rochak Dua’s inspiring story highlights how this stylish and tech-packed EV is reshaping long-distance travel, from bustling Indian cities to the scenic landscapes of Nepal.
Rochak, a Pune resident, carefully selected the MG Windsor EV after thorough research, seeking spacious interiors, a panoramic glass roof, and a strong electric range. Delivered to him in October 2024, the Windsor quickly became integral to his travels.
His maiden long trip was from Pune to Amritsar, where he explored the capabilities of cruise control and learned that pacing speed effectively helps maintain battery efficiency on highways without fast-charging stations. His well-planned trips are meticulously segmented, blending charging stops with meal and rest breaks for comfortable travel.
The highlight was an epic five-day journey crossing the Darjeeling-Nepal route, where regenerative braking and uphill-downhill driving techniques helped Rochak save significantly on charging—effectively achieving “free” driving over multiple days. This journey underscored the Windsor EV’s adaptability to diverse terrains and longer drives.
Powered by either a 38 kWh or a larger 52.9 kWh battery option, the Windsor EV offers ranges of approximately 332 km and up to 449 km (ARAI rated), making it practical for both city commutes and intercity excursions. The EV’s dual offerings of advanced features—such as level-2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and a commanding 15.6-inch touchscreen—combine comfort, safety, and style in a single package.
In Nepal, the MG Windsor EV is set to make similar waves, endorsed by Paramount Motors, its official local distributor. With thoughtful features and a competitive range, the Windsor EV represents a step forward in sustainable mobility accessible to eco-conscious consumers in South Asia.
Rochak’s story reflects a growing trend among Indian and Nepali drivers embracing electric mobility—not just for daily travel but for adventurous pilgrimage and exploration across borders. The MG Windsor EV proves that EV ownership is practical and exciting, opening doors to cleaner, quieter, and more enjoyable road trips throughout the region.
