Maruti Jimny AT: 20,000 km update including maintenance cost from day 1

BHPian Samba recently shared this with other enthusiasts: The Jimny crossed the 20,000 km mark, so I got the 4th service done at a Nexa service centre in Kolkata. I took the car for the service after an OTR. The car was filled with mud/muck. I will rate the service centre’s cleaning as satisfactory; the rest of the work done was neat. The following work was done:Engine oil and oil filter replacement. (Used Idemitsu 0W-16 from the 3.5L can & added another 100 ml of the same oil to make it 3.6L, instead of using the oil from their drum). The oil filter used was K00.Replaced the AC filter and the air filter.5 tire rotation.Brake oil & coolant top-up.Brake pads and the brake shoes were cleaned and refitted.A whole car checkup was done.I had no complaints, so except for the service, nothing else was done. Damage to pocket- Rs 6,116. Maintenance costFrom day one till today, the maintenance cost goes like this- 1,000 km service – Rs 05,000 km service- Rs 1800 (I proactively replaced the engine oil & oil filter)10,000 km service- Rs 180020,000 km service Rs 6,116Total – Rs 9,716Currently, the running cost is Rs 0.48 per Km. This will definitely increase with time. So far, it’s within an acceptable range. The mandatory odometer reading pic. Check out BHPian comments for more insights and information.
