Maruti Suzuki Swift gets the highest benefits as the GST 2.0 price reduction and festive offers cumulatively result in total price drop of up to Rs. 1.73 lakh
GST 2.0 has triggered revision in car prices across the market and Maruti Suzuki Arena models are among the biggest gainers. The new tax regime which cuts GST from 28 per cent to 18 per cent for small cars has made popular hatchbacks, sedans and compact SUVs significantly more affordable.
The Alto K10, Maruti’s entry-level hatchback, now comes with more affordable pricing across trims. For instance, the VXI+ AGS variant sees a revised ex-showroom tag of Rs. 5.57 lakh against the earlier Rs. 6.09 lakh. The net on-road benefit adds up to over Rs. 74,000 and when clubbed with festive and exchange offers worth Rs. 66,000, the total relief to buyers is more than Rs. 1.40 lakh.
Even the CNG versions of the Alto K10 receive savings upwards of Rs. 1.30 lakh. Maruti’s S-Presso also benefits in a healthy manner from GST 2.0. The VXI+ AGS, previously priced at Rs. 6 lakh, is now listed at Rs. 5.49 lakh. After factoring in GST savings and seasonal offers, customers can pocket benefits of nearly Rs. 1.34 lakh.

The Wagon R and Celerio, both volume players in the small car space, get similar relief. The Wagon R ZXI+ AGS, previously Rs. 7.49 lakh, now carries a tag of Rs. 6.85 lakh – resulting in a combined benefit of Rs. 1.51 lakh. Meanwhile, the Celerio ZXI+ AGS has dropped from Rs. 7.37 lakh to Rs. 6.74 lakh and with additional festive discounts, buyers can save up to Rs. 1.45 lakh.
Other Arena models like the Eeco and Swift also record meaningful reductions. The Eeco 5 STR AC sees a total benefit of nearly Rs. 1.19 lakh while the latest Swift ZXI+ AGS offers the largest savings in the hatchback lineup at over Rs. 1.73 lakh. Moving up the ladder, the Dzire sedan and Ertiga MPV also reflect the GST benefit.
The Dzire ZXI+ AGS is now available at Rs. 9.32 lakh compared to Rs. 10.19 lakh earlier with total benefits exceeding Rs. 1.16 lakh. The Ertiga, a consistent bestseller in the MPV category provides combined relief of around Rs. 79,000 on higher trims such as the ZXI+ automatic.
The Brezza compact SUV, one of Maruti’s top-selling products in recent years, rounds off the Arena portfolio gains. The ZXI+ automatic trim, earlier at Rs. 13.98 lakh, is now priced at Rs. 13.49 lakh. Between GST savings and festive offers, buyers stand to save up to Rs. 1.20 lakh. It must be noted that all prices mentioned above are tentative.
