Mercedes-Benz GLC electric SUV debuts at Munich Motor Show

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new GLC electric SUV at the Munich Motor Show. It replaces the EQE SUV and will compete with theBMW iX3. The Mercedes GLC with EQ Technology is based on the MB.EA platform. It will be offered in two variants: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive GLC 300+ and a dual-motor GLC 400 4Matic. The former has 369 BHP and 504 Nm, while the all-wheel-drive version packs 483 BHP and 808 Nm. The GLC EV is based on an 800V architecture. Both variants come with a 94 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 735 km. The battery supports DC fast charging up to 330 kW. It takes around 24 minutes to charge the battery from 10-80% and can add 300 km of range in just 10 minutes. The new GLC electric SUV features a unique exterior design. The front is dominated by a massive illuminated grille and wraparound LED headlights with DRLs in the shape of the 3-pointed star. The rear features wraparound taillamps with circular LEDs and 3-pointed stars. The GLC EV has a futuristic interior, but the centrepiece is a massive 39.1-inch Hyperscreen. The full-width screen runs on Mercedes’ latest MBUX operating system and has a built-in AI assistant.
