Ola has become the first EV-only manufacturer from India to post one million production milestone; a special edition Roadster X+ celebrates this feat
In just under four years of manufacturing, Ola Electric has crossed a landmark few could have predicted when it began production in 2021. From its massive Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, the brand has now built its one-millionth vehicle – making it the first Indian EV-only company to touch this number.
Ola drove out a special edition Roadster X+, finished in a deep midnight blue with red highlights on the rims, dual-tone seat and even the battery casing to mark the occasion. What sets it apart further are unique badges made from recycled copper scrap and electroplated bar ends – details that underscore the company’s focus on integrating recyclability into design.
Recently, the annual Sankalp event doubled up as the launchpad for new products based on the homegrown 4680 Bharat Cell technology. Two models are first in line: the Roadster X+ with a 9.1 kWh battery and the S1 Pro+ with a 5.2 kWh pack. Prices have been pegged at Rs. 1,89,999 and Rs. 1,69,999 respectively with deliveries expected to begin during Navratri.

The homegrown manufacturer also pulled the wraps off a new entrant – the S1 Pro Sport. The sporty scooter, offered with 4 kWh and 5.2 kWh battery packs, will hit the market at an introductory price of Rs. 1,49,999. Deliveries for this one are scheduled from January 2026.
The Ola S1 Pro Sport comes equipped with a 16 kW electric motor which works in line with a 5.2 kWh battery pack powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell. It boasts an IDC claimed riding range of up to 320 km and can hit a top speed of 152 kmph. It is said to accelerate from zero to 40 kmph in just 2 seconds.

The S1 portfolio has been at the heart of Ola’s rise but with motorcycles like the Roadster X and the new push into performance scooters, the company is looking to draw new customers. Commenting on the new milestone, a spokesperson for Ola Electric, said,
“This marks the celebration of every Indian who trusted us and believed in our mission. In four years, we’ve gone from an idea to becoming India’s EV two-wheeler leader. We built at scale and proved that world-class products can be designed, engineered, and manufactured right here in India.”
