✅ SSC CGL 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2026):
- Generally 18-30 years. Age varies by post – 18-27 years for some Group C posts, 20-30 years for some Group B posts, and 18-32 years for Junior Statistical Officer.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years (13 years for OBC, 15 years for SC/ST), Ex-Servicemen – 3 years after deduction of military service, Defence Personnel (disabled) – 3 years (8 years for SC/ST).
Educational Qualification:
- For most posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
- Assistant Audit Officer / Assistant Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s Degree + desirable CA/CMA/CS/M.Com/MBA (Finance) etc. Candidates have to qualify Subordinate Audit/Accounts Service Examination during probation.
- Junior Statistical Officer: Bachelor’s Degree with 60% in Mathematics in 12th OR Statistics as a subject in graduation.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Demography/Computer Science/Data Science/AI etc.
- For Assistant Audit Officer (State Cadre) & Assistant Accounts Officer (State Cadre): Additional proficiency in the Regional/Official language of the concerned State is required.
