TVS Ntorq 150 derives power from a new 149.7 cc air-cooled engine producing a maximum power of 13.2 PS and 14.2 Nm of peak torque
TVS Motor Company has today announced the launch of its most powerful production scooter, the Ntorq 150 in India for a starting price of Rs. 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory) – around Rs. 30,000 cheaper than Yamaha Aerox and Hero Xoom 160 – while the TFT trim costs Rs. 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in two variants, it gets several features as standard including all LED lighting, traction control and single-channel ABS system. It derives power from a new 149.7 cc single-cylinder engine.
The TVS Ntorq 150’s air-cooled fuel-injected mill with oil-cooled O3C technology is good enough to generate a maximum power output of 13.2 PS at 7,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of peak torque delivered at 5,500 rpm. The Hosur-based manufacturer claims that the sporty maxi scooter can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 6.3 seconds before topping out at 104 kmph.
The scooter uses a 5.8-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 115 kg which is slightly lighter than its sibling, the Ntorq 125. It rides on 100/80-12 front and 110/80-12 rear tubeless tyres with braking duties handled by a 220 mm front disc and a 130 mm rear drum. The suspension is taken care of by telescopic forks with hydraulic dampers at the front and a coil spring with hydraulic damping at the rear.
