Volkswagen Tiguan R Line is sold with festive season discounts of up to Rs. 3 lakh in September 2025 in India
Volkswagen India is offering major festive season discounts across its sedan and SUV lineup – making models like the Tiguan, Taigun and Virtus more accessible for buyers this September. Customers can avail a combination of cash discounts, exchange benefits and loyalty bonuses with maximum savings touching Rs. 3 lakh on select models.
Leading the discount chart is the Volkswagen Tiguan R Line which was launched just five months ago at Rs. 49 lakh. The fully imported SUV is available with benefits of up to Rs. 3 lakh – making it a strong draw for premium buyers. The Volkswagen Taigun, one of the brand’s sales drivers in the midsize segment, is also being offered with attractive benefits.
Buyers of the 1.5 TSI GT trims – both Chrome and Sport trims equipped with manual and DSG gearboxes – can save up to Rs. 1.55 lakh while the Taigun Topline 1.0 AT gets discounts of up to Rs. 1.1 lakh. The Highline trim gets up to Rs. 1 lakh off and the Comfortline entry variant is available with a drop of Rs. 80,000 from the list price.

For sedan buyers, the Volkswagen Virtus carries discounts of up to Rs. 1.5 lakh on the 1.0 TSI Topline variants. The Comfortline variant also comes a huge price reduction of Rs. 1.02 lakh as part of a discount scheme. Meanwhile, the 1.5 TSI DSG trims see benefits of up to Rs. 90,000 and dealers are offering higher deals on MY2024 stock as part of inventory clearance.
Since the festive season in full swing, these discounts make Volkswagen cars more approachable while also offering buyers a chance to upgrade to higher variants at competitive prices. The GST 2.0 revision has resulted in small petrol cars under 4 metres and engines below 1.2 litres now taxed at 18 per cent instead of 29 per cent – directly benefitting hatchbacks and compact sedans. Small diesel cars under 4 metres with engines under 1.5 litres see rates drop from 31 per cent to 18 per cent – making models like the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3XO and Tata Altroz diesels more affordable.
Midsize segment cars move from 45 per cent to 40 per cent while large SUVs and premium cars now fall under a simplified 40 per cent slab instead of 48–50 per cent. While its sister brand Skoda has announced new prices with price drops of up to Rs. 3.3 lakh, VW is expected to reveal its new prices soon making the festive season an irresistible opportunity for customers.
