BHPian Axe77 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:One year / 10,000 kms serviceGot my second service (12 months / 10k kms) done late last month when the bike was around ~9500 kms. The 12-month period is calculated from after the initial first service, which got done about 45 days from the date of purchase. I could have done it by mid September but since the bike was anyway close to 9500 kms I decided to get it done anyway, specially since the brake pads too were towards the end of their life. The service itself cost about 21k but the real chunk of change over and above that figure was towards the brake pad replacement (both front and rear). That’s eye-wateringly expensive and I must make a note of generally getting a set of these from Europe and keep them in my spare parts bin. Based on my average running, I reckon this is a once-a-year expense at the least, if not more frequent in any year that I do a week-long ride. The bill also includes some small accessories that I purchased (a couple of small bags) but that’s less than 1.5 or 2k – can’t recall. It’s a bit dull to leave a nice Superbike ownership thread reading like an accountant’s file, so here are a few pics from earlier this monsoon to remind me why the lighter wallet was all too worth it.
